The John Mather Trust competition is back!
This Enterprise Competition gave City of Glasgow College students the chance to win a share of £20k for their business idea with the funds being provided by the John Mather Trust.
Being launched in February 2017, a Prize Draw took place providing more information on the competition and encouraging students to participate. Fynn Elkington from makemeafilm.com, Jordan Reid from Ngage Technology along with last year's winners shared their story in business and inspired the audience.
The next step was the official submission of interest, whereby students entered the competition by completing a business plan or business model canvas along with the main Enterprise Competition form. From the interested participants, 30 managed to make it to the next stage, which is going to include intensive training during the Easter holidays. This training will involve talks and workshops on business and financial planning, pitching, entrepreneurial mindset, networking and others.
The next and final step will be the submission of a video pitch and a formal business plan!
Good luck to the 30 entrants!
