Virgin StartUp has launched a competition to find the best startups in Scotland! We’re celebrating Scottish entrepreneurship by shining a light on the top 10 small businesses in the country.
What is Virgin StartUp 10: Scotland?
This competition will champion Scottish entrepreneurs and the positive impact they have on the country. The campaign is designed to appeal to as many entrepreneurs as possible to showcase that running your own business is achievable for anyone, regardless of age, education, upbringing or passion.
The Judging Criteria
Impact: What impact does your business have on the community it operates in and on Scotland as a whole? That could be employing local people, working with local charities, bringing people together or contributing to the local / Scottish economy.Inspiration: Do you have a story that will inspire others to follow their dream of starting a business? Have you had to overcome adversity to turn your idea into a reality? It's these qualities that help others know that starting their own business is achievable and we want to showcase them.
Disruption: Does your business have a strong USP that's changing the way business is done in your industry? This doesn't have to be a high-tech innovation, it just needs to be different to what's gone before.
