Who was your biggest hero when you were younger?
Jun Xue is my biggest hero.
What initially attracted you to enterprise?
I think it is knowing the fact that I can actually make a difference in my and other people’s life. That sense of achievement is immeasurable but so real.
Can you tell us about the first £10 you ever made?
It is a short tour guide for some new travelers in England.
What has been your biggest challenge so far with your business?
Dealing with things I don’t know. Tech is a fast growing industry so I ask myself questions such as How long can the business can last before a new competing technology comes up? How profitable will the business be? What do the users really want? So many unknowns sometimes bring discouragement.
Who is it that keeps you going through any tough times?
My team has been really supportive and understanding, and we’ve been through a lot together. The determination of team members and faith in each other really support me to be stronger every single day.
What is it that gets you out of your bed in the morning?
Sense of responsibility. I have desire to achieve what I want to do but I also take responsibilities for my business, my team and my society very personal.
How do you define success?
It is you know deep in your heart that today you are better than you of yesterday.
Where do you see your business in 5 years’ time?
Our app is the first thing that comes to people’s mind when they travel abroad.
If you could give your “teenage self” one piece of advice, what would it be?
Do what you love, love what you do and be good at it.
If you could have any 1 person on your business contact list who would that person be and why?
Jack Ma. He’s an ambitious and talented entrepreneur who I admire and of course he has ability and resource to invest in the business. With his knowledge, skills, experience and contacts, he is definitely someone I can learn a lot from.
