Who was your biggest hero when you were younger?
Carrie Bradshaw from Sex in the City. Although she was just a character I really do (even still) look up to her. She was always out there doing it for herself and that’s what I aspire to be - a strong independent woman with big dreams and big hair.
What initially attracted you to enterprise?
My parents were both self employed, I also knew I wasn’t hugely academic but knew I wasn’t daft.
Can you tell us about the first £10 you ever made?
The first £10 I ever made was working in St. Mirren Football Club selling pies. It wasn’t glamorous and the uniform was hideous. That’s when I knew I had make money doing something I enjoyed because I although I made £10 that day I certainly wasn’t happy about HOW I made it.
What has been your biggest challenge so far with your business?
My biggest challenge so far was initially putting myself out there. It can be seen as cringe or embarrassing to do Youtube or Instagram as a career because people end up not acting like themselves and become shy or awkward on camera. I wanted to be true to myself but also gain some confidence in posting more for the thousands of viewers, it can be really scary but all worth it.
Who is it that keeps you going through any tough times?
My family & friends. They always keep me motivated and their approval and support is so important to me. They have been telling me for years to start a blog and I wish I listened to them early on because look where I am now!
What is it that gets you out of your bed in the morning?
Having planned a very good outfit for the day because if you look good, you feel good.
How do you define success?
Being passionate about what you are doing.
Where do you see your business in 5 years’ time?
I hope to be travelling with my business. Although just now I love what I am doing, I am mainly Glasgow based. I hope to be blogging and vlogging in different countries.
If you could give your “teenage self” one piece of advice, what would it be?
YOU HAVE GOT TO CALM DOWN, IT WILL ALL WORK OUT and stop straightening your hair.
If you could have any one person on your business contact list, who would that person be and why?
My Mum. She is a hugely successful business woman and I go to her with advice for everything but also because she is my Momager.
