Can you tell us about the first £10 you ever made?
My mother went out of town for the weekend when I was 13 and I borrowed money from her room but my siblings and I had no means to put it back before she returned. So I went out to look for a job. I got one as a waitress in an Indian Restaurant where they paid me £3/hr.
What has been your biggest challenge so far with your business?
Motivating myself when there is not real pressure to exert myself.
Who is it that keeps you going through any tough times?
All the emails I get from the people at Young Enterprise Scotland asking me to meet with them to discuss my progress.
What is it that gets you out of your bed in the morning?
Knowing that I want to beat my sales from last month.
Where do you see your business in 5 years’ time?
With a thriving cafe/bakery and looking for a second premises.
If you could have any 1 person on your business contact list who would that person be and why?
Howard Shultz, The CEO of Starbucks, because he has great knowledge of business globalization and quality control. I would like to understand the mechanics behind such an increase.
