Who was your biggest hero when you were younger?
Alan Titchmarsh & Tommy Walsh
What initially attracted you to enterprise?
We had already been managing another gardening company so we realised it was our time to manage our own company with the experience we had gained.
Can you tell us about the first £10 you ever made?
First £10 we made was from doing our neighbours gardens when we were teenagers.
What has been your biggest challenge so far with your business?
First year of trading was a challenge; we had to do a lot of advertising to get our business recognised.
Who is it that keeps you going through any tough times?
What is it that gets you out of your bed in the morning?
I get out of bed in the morning because we believe we make a difference with our creative work and continuing to grow our business.
How do you define success?
My personal definition of success is based on fulfilment. If I set a goal, whether I reach it completely or not. I have succeeded in something.
Where do you see your business in 5 years’ time?
The chances are that the only thing you can say with any certainty is that you intend to be around fighting to succeed in whatever business climate exists. How you get from here to there in good shape is anybody's guess.
If you could give your “teenage self” one piece of advice, what would it be?
Hard work pays off, continue doing what you’re doing and smile.
If you could have any 1 person on your business contact list who would that person be and why?
Professional footballer Mario Balotelli because he doesn't care.
