Enterprising/Employability Skills at North Highland College
North Highland College recently welcomed visitors from Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd (DSRL) to talk to students from a variety of courses across the college about opportunities available to them and what enterprising/employability skills DSRL look for in young people.
The presenters spoke about different employment opportunities for students, including internships, summer placements, graduate schemes and apprenticeships.
This was followed by Piers Strudwick from the 7SCOTS who came along to North Highland College and delivered a motivational workshop in relation to employability/enterprising skills and citizenship. As you can see from the photograph below, Piers used the Young Enterprise Scotland t-shirt as part of his discussion.
His inspirational talk was very motivating to both staff and students alike.
As you can see from the photographs below - these events were very well attended with approximately 70 students present.
The students were fully engaged and interacted with presenters during a networked session at the end of each event.
