Art on the Exchange MAKEOVER!
- New & shiny stalls at the Art on the Exchange
Michelle Cohen, an artist and the main organizer of the "Art on the Exchange" recently took a step forward and decided to upgrade the marketplace at the Royal Exchange Square!
New stalls were purchased that are now brighter and bigger, allowing stallholders to display more items to the public.
Bridge 2 Business has been working with Michelle for another year to provide college students with trading opportunities through this event. A valuable learning experience, which provides practical learning and 1st hand experience in selling, preparing for a stall and showcasing products to attract customers.
A number of students have already benefited from this experience. Some represent their own business, whilst other attend as part of the classroom wide project.
Hana Wilde, a student at City of Glasgow College, first took part at the Art on the Exchange with her lecturer and fellow classmates and now she is ready to sell her own products through her business.
Hana said:"The Art on the Exchange was a fantastic opportunity to sell work in the heart of Glasgow, in a prime spot that would usually be inaccessible on a student budget. By running a stall, I am hoping to connect with new customers and gain more experience of market selling."
If you are a student interested in taking up this amazing opportunity, then please get in touch with Christina at Christina.Christopoulou@yes.org.uk
Young Enterprise Scotland covers the cost for this 2-day stall. A perfect opportunity to practice selling without having to worry about the cost of the stall!
