Firstport went on a mission to uncover the most innovative business ideas addressing social issues across Scotland this year and in July they began sifting through applications from across the country.
In celebration of Scotland's Year of Young People 2018 Firstport sent a call out for individuals with the most exciting, innovative and enterprising new ideas for working with and for Scotland's young people.
The winners - Carla Fyfe of Collaborative Hub (left), Ewan Sinclair of Soundplay Dome (middle) and Olivia Robertson of Gumption Girls (right) - were presented with their awards by Josiah Lockhart, Chief Executive of Firstport, at a civic reception held by The City of Edinburgh Council on Friday 14 September. The reception was part of the closing events of the Social Enterprise World Forum 2018, attended by over 1400 delegates from across the world.
The winners go on to receive three £5000 awards and tailored support to refine and develop their ideas.
