Bridge 2 Business Tertiary Enterprise Education Awards 2017

Following on from the success of last year's Awards, Young Enterprise Scotland are delighted to announce the 2017 Bridge 2 Business Tertiary Enterprise Education Awards.

Sponsored by Scotland Can Do, in recognition of Entrepreneurial Excellence across the FE College Sector, the Awards this year will also include the Entrepreneurial Team Award to ensure we reach more of our College Learners in Scotland that are so passionate about Enterprise.

AWARDS CATEGORIES:

Bridge 2 Business Champion of the Year Award - for the outstanding, aspirational Student Champion that has shown dedication and commitment to their Entrepreneurial learning and thinking.

Bridge 2 Business Local Hero of the Year Award - for the outstanding, inspirational Entrepreneurial Ambassador that has shown passion and educational flair in supporting FE College Students engaged in Enterprise Education.

Entrepreneurial FE College of the Year Award - for the FE College that has demonstrated strategic commitment to embedding Enterprise Education into their curriculum. The FE College will show a clear vision of combining all learners attainment with commercially focused activities and skills development.

Entrepreneurial FE Team of the Year Award - for the FE College Team that has shown Entrepreneurial flair and creativity through participation in a group event or project. The FE Team will have collectively worked towards growing their entrepreneurial mindset by bringing enterprise learning to life during their time at College.

Entrepreneurial FE Educator of the Year Award - for the FE College Lecturer that has innovatively and proactively promoted Enterprise skills development within their FE College. The Educator will have embedded entrepreneurship into a course or unit they have facilitated for their learners.

Entrepreneurial FE Student of the Year Award - for the FE College Student that has shown exceptional Entrepreneurial spirit whilst studying at College. The Student will have combined their course work with a start-up enterprise or idea and developed additional personal skills that have added value to their employment and career aspirations.
These awards will be national and UK wide recognition for our young people, students, education professionals, entrepreneurs and institutions that are leading the way in the Development of Scotland's Young Workforce.

APPLICATION PROCESS:

Entrants can either apply directly or be nominated by another person. The process at the first stage will be to complete an application form, giving short answers to questions that will allow the judging panel to take forward applications to a final shortlist.

Dependent on the number of entrants to each category, and where applicable, referrals to the Regional FE College Programme Executive may be required to assist the judges with their decisions.

Our guest judging panel will consist of supporters of Young Enterprise Scotland and will be chaired by YES Chief Executive, Geoff Leask.

AWARDS TIMESCALES:

Awards Nominations open on Friday 10th March until close of business on Friday 28th April 2017.
