The Bridge 2 Business Programme were proud category sponsors for the third year running at The Herald Fashion Awards, held on Sunday evening at Glasgow's Grand Central Hotel. In addition to sponsoring the Scottish Fashion Graduate of the Year, Young Enterprise Scotland were delighted to host the 2017 Winners of their own Tertiary Enterprise Education Awards, including guests from Dundee & Angus College, West College Scotland and City of Glasgow College.
Hosted by the wonderful Cat Cubie, Bridge 2 Business Local Heroes Matt Collins and Nana Hughes-Lartey, Directors of Spectre Creative, enthralled the crowd with their inspirational keynote speech.
There was a real connection with all things YES throughout the night, including a few of our biggest supporters, the ever fashionable Benedetto Bordone and Lex Mancini who judged the Awards.
Geoff Leask, Chief Executive of Young Enterprise Scotland had the pleasure of presenting the Scottish Fashion Graduate of the Year award won by the talented Allanah Eileen.
"Well done to all the winners on the night, and a massive congratulations to Allanah for winning this award. The judges had a really tough decision to make, but Allanah stood out with her attitude and passion for the world of online fashion. The Bridge 2 Business team look forward to hearing and seeing more of Allanah and we'll watch her career with real interest. She will be a great inspiration to many other up and coming fashion professionals for years to come."
Dundee & Angus College were represented by Bruce Donaldson, and student Sva Ciakas. West College Scotland also attended, with their student-led Social Enterprise, MOYA and Lecturers Billy Kinnear and Jo-Anne Hope. And finally, Claire Halligan and Fynn Elkington, from City of Glasgow College made up a terrific table of enterprising people involved in the Bridge 2 Business Programme.
A final big thanks to everyone at The Herald Events team for making it such a great night. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone in 2018!
